Ramekin Leftover Turkey Chili Shepherd’s Pie

Meal Prep Mason Jar Salads – Lemon Chicken with Shallot Vinaigrette

One of the major changes we did to our diets were preparing these mason jar salads for our lunches. In my husband’s case, he started to eat lunch. Before he would skip that meal altogether. How he managed.. I don’t know… but when he started to eat lunch, he started to lose weight. There’s a common misconception that eating less will make you lose weight.

Hearty Turkey and Bean Chili

Hey baBe (I don’t know why people keep misspelling that) wanna come over for some Netflix and Chili? What’s better than throwing everything in a pot and letting it cook all day while you binge watch episodes on Netflix? Nothing, nothing at all. The heart-healthy changes I made were simple, duh no-brainers. I swapped beef for turkey, you really can’t tell the difference and if you do, you’re a lying.

Tamari Mustard Glazed Salmon w/ Braised Kale & Edamame Salad

Looking for salmon recipes usually ends up with me hitting my head on the desk.. repeatedly. I get why people don’t like salmon… I get it… but this is THE recipe that converted my husband to a salmon hugger. On top of that, there are a lot of soy glazed recipes out there but I’m all for tamari. Less salty (so less sodium), deeper flavours and can come gluten-free.

Panko Cajun Dry Wings vs. Sriracha Saucy Tang Wings

Wingggging weekend! After a ton of chicken breast meals (lame) and a few days of barbecuing weather left, wings are a great treat. Reader beware, wings themselves are high in fat and cholesterol, how we prepared them are healthier than the deep-fried, battered, buttered version but don’t eat this weekly and don’t have a months portion in a sitting, yes.. I will judge you. If you haven’t noticed, we are all about moderation, not elimination. What’s great with wings are that spices and low sugar content sauces can add a lot of flavour. So we did a wing versus night.
